News Release: Former FreedomWorks Exec John Hallman Is New Vanguard PAC Executive Director

NICEVILLE, FLORIDA -- Rod D. Martin, Chairman of Vanguard PAC, one of America's leading conservative groups, today announced former FreedomWorks Florida State Director John M. Hallman as Vanguard PAC's Executive Director.

"John is perfectly suited for helping lead Vanguard PAC to ever-increasing heights," Martin said, "and for helping Vanguard PAC lead an ever-growing American conservative mainstream. We have tremendous confidence in him."

Hallman comes to Vanguard PAC from FreedomWorks, the pro-free market group founded by Jack Kemp and William Bennett and currently chaired by Dick Armey and C. Boyden Gray, where he most recently served for three years as Florida State Director. He has organized both state and national lobbying efforts, particularly in support of Personal Retirement Accounts and fundamental tax reform; and in 2005 he spearheaded the Florida “Own Your Future Tour,” promoting Social Security reform throughout the state and debating anti-reform leaders from such groups as MoveOn.org and the AARP.

Hallman is an active, longtime conservative voice in all levels of Republican politics, and currently serves as state treasurer of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NFRA) Florida chapter. He is a life member of the National Rifle Association, a member of the Christian Coalition, and a member of D. James Kennedy's Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. Prior to his entry into full-time political work, he was Vice President of Circle H Ranch, Inc., and later was sales and marketing director for a major south Florida residential construction project. He has taught activist schools, is a frequent guest on radio and TV talk shows, and has written numerous articles promoting the cause of individual freedom.

Hallman wasted no time getting down to business. "Conservatism is the new mainstream in this country, across virtually all racial, cultural and economic lines. We mean to build the sort of lasting, principled governing coalition -- embracing religious, fiscal and foreign policy conservatives alike -- which can deliver what that mainstream demands: real reform, right now.
